The letter “v” had its foot on my neck. On the top right of the practice for each letter, there is a rating for difficulty. H for hard, E for Easy and A for average. The letter “v” was rated A for average in difficulty. This letter was a serious struggle for me. From now on, the rating for each letter is a suggestion. Why is it when the letter is rated “H” for hard, it’s easy for me? But with the rating “A” for average and “E” for easy, the challenge level is off the chart.  

I was having issues with the compound curve. I don’t know what happened today, but my hand didn’t want to cooperate. I’ve done this stroke numerous times, which was really frustrating. It took me two practice sheets to get close to the letter “v”. I feel that I can still use some more work. 

Tonight, I’m going to rewatch my instructor, Becca’s video again later tonight in my free time and do more writing of the letter “v.” I only have five more letters left until I’m finished with minuscules (lower case alphabet) and move onto majuscules. This is where I learn to write capital letters of the alphabet.  

It’s been two months since I started calligraphy from absolute zero. I can’t believe how far I’ve come. Resilience is built one practice session at a time.
