The letter “h” gave me a break

My letter “h’ practice sheet

What made the letter "h" feel even more special is realizing where I am now. A little over a month ago, I started this journey learning basic strokes. Now I can write seven letters of the alphabet, and I've officially moved into the next group. And somewhere between "h" and "n," something I've been waiting for is going to happen. I'm going to be able to write my own name.

Calligraphy is a lot more fun than I ever expected. I’m really starting to enjoy it a lot more. There's something exciting about watching a few basic strokes slowly turn into an actual letter—and eventually into words. Some days I'm celebrating a beautiful "a," and other days I'm staring at my practice sheet wondering what on earth my pen just created. That's part of the fun.

You get to experiment, make mistakes, laugh at the wonky letters, fill up pages, and experience that wonderful little moment when your hand finally figures out something you've been practicing.
