Last week, this one had me on the ropes. I was ready to snap my pen in half, throw my hands up and walk away. My ovals were not coming together. I couldn't get the strokes to line up. It was a mess but this week, I've seen progress. It's been small but noticeable. At least for me.
A lot of my issues had to do with my pen angle. I noticed I wasn't keeping it at a 45-degree angle. This allows for better flexibility of the brush tip pen. It allows the pen to bend more easily. Doing two 30-minute practice sessions in the morning and evening has helped. I felt that I did better with the freehand than with the tracing on Day 12.
Above I posted last week (my first week) and this week's Oval practice sheet. I would love opinion on the two practice sheets for comparison and tell me what you think? Yes, with more practice this I will get better and write this stroke accurately and beautifully.
